A member of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) militant group from a Bangladesh refugee camp was found alive on Shah Porir Dwip — known locally to the Arakanese as Shin Phyu Kyun Island— on October 15, according to local residents.

On October 7, Mahbul Alom, a journalist from the Bangladeshi news agency 'In-Territorial News (ITN)', publicly urged collaboration between the fascist Military Commission (formerly Military Council) forces, who are brutally killing people in Myanmar, and the Islamic extremist groups in Bangladesh to capture Rakhine State.

According to Bangla Press news agency, the Muslim terrorist groups known as ARSA, RSO, ARA, and RIM are illegally smuggling weapons into Bangladesh.
