Terrorist Groups of ARSA, RSO, ARA, and RIM Smuggling Weapons into Bangladesh

According to Bangla Press news agency, the Muslim terrorist groups known as ARSA, RSO, ARA, and RIM are illegally smuggling weapons into Bangladesh.

The aforementioned terrorist Muslim groups are smuggling illegal weapons into Bangladesh through seven routes along the 271-kilometer Bangladesh-Rakhine border, as stated by Bangla Press.

Due to this illegal arms smuggling, the operations are being carried out by Muslim terrorist armed groups such as ARSA, RSO, RIM led by militant Abdul Halim, and ARA led by militant Nabi Hossain, including Muslims from the Muslim refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, as reported by Bangla Press.

Similarly, it is known that one group active with arms in the hilly areas of Khagrachhari, Rangamati, and Bandarban is purchasing weapons, and ARSA, RSO, RIM led by Abdul Halim, and ARA from the Muslim refugee camps are also smuggling and transporting weapons.

Bangla Press reports that these four terrorist Muslim groups—ARSA, RSO, ARA, and RIM—have been conducting illegal arms smuggling into Bangladesh on a larger and more widespread scale this year.

Major General Mohiuddin Ahmed from the BGB in Cox's Bazar District stated that the Muslim terrorist groups are mainly focusing on the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar District for smuggling, storing, and distributing illegal weapons.

The main routes for illegal arms smuggling are border area roads such as the Baichhara route in Ratuaung Upazila, Gundum route (Balukhali Customs Gate), Palangkhali route in Ukhiya Upazila, and Naf Boniya route.

The RIM Muslim armed group led by Abdul Halim seized modern weapons from Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) on February 6, 2024, and transported them into Bangladesh using strategic methods, as reported in the news.

In the recent days, RAB joint task forces led by Deputy Brigadier General Kamal Hasan, commander of the 15th Battalion of the Bangladesh Border Guard, seized a large number of illegal weapons from inside the Muslim refugee camps, as stated.

In addition, it is known that Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) is providing arms, grenades, and military support to extremist Islamist militant terrorist groups ARSA and RSO.
