Clashes Break Out Between ARSA and RSO in a Muslim Refugee Camp in Bangladesh

Clashes broke out on September 12 between Islamic extremist armed groups, ARSA and RSO, at Refugee Camp No. 14 (Hakimpara) located in Ukhiya Township, Cox's Bazar District, Bangladesh.

According to sources close to Bangladesh, two members of the ARSA terrorist group were killed, while one member of the RSO group was killed and two others were injured during the clash.

Following the fighting, the Bangladesh Army and the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) conducted all-day patrols in Refugee Camp No. 14 on September 13.

It is reported that the incident has left refugees alarmed and concerned for their personal safety and security.

Similarly, on February 5, 2025, a gunfire exchange between two Muslim armed groups in Alikali IDP Camp-25 in Cox's Bazar District, Bangladesh, resulted in injuries to five Bengalis, including a child.

Reports from the Bangladeshi refugee camps indicate that instability in security conditions has led to frequent fires, violence among Muslim armed groups, and armed confrontations between rival insurgent factions.
