Do you know of a Bangagya (Rohingya) man with two faces: a polished speaker at international conferences and a terrorist in the shadows of the jungle? He is Suja Uddin, a top leader and key advisor of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), who is currently based in an ASEAN country—likely Malaysia.

Publicly, he is a known figure mobilizing community support and participation in ARSA's terrorist activities against non-Muslim communities, including the Arakanese, Hindus, Daingnet, and others in northern Arakan.

Recently, the Global Arakan Network (GAN) obtained two video clips featuring the same individual. In the first, he delivers hate speech and disinformation against the Arakanese and the Arakan Army (AA). In the second, he discusses an ethnic cleansing campaign targeting the Arakanese and Bamar people.

The first video captures his speech at the recent Cox's Bazar Conference on August 25, 2025. There, he claimed that the persecution of his community stems from a "genocidal regime" and "neo-Nazi racists," specifically labeling the Rakhine-led AA a "neo-Nazi organization."

In a surprising and vehement accusation, he asserted that the AA is "far worse than the Myanmar government" and "far more dangerous and toxic" to regional peace and security. This is not a freedom of speech but an act of hate campaign against Arakanese and AA.

However, a second video, which surfaced on October 5, 2025, shows him speaking in a jungle hideout inside Bangladesh as an ARSA leader. It now reveals the true intent behind his public rhetoric. In chilling terms, he outlines an ethnic cleansing plan against the Arakanese in Arakan, declaring:

“There should be no territory for the Rakhine people. There should be no territory for the Bamar people either. There should only be Rohingya territory for the Rohingya. There is no other way. That’s why, with international law and advocacy, we must look after our independence, our land, ourselves. Our land, our free land—we must protect it, create a Rohingya territory, and decide the future of the Rohingya, the destiny of the Rohingya. Only the Rohingya people will live there.”

International stakeholders, including Malaysia and other developed nations, must now recognize that terrorist leaders harbored in your countries are mobilizing violence and extremist activities against innocent civilians—including women and children—in other nations. We strongly recommend immediate action against individuals like Suja Uddin, a leader and key advisor of the terrorist group ARSA.
