Contrary to the disinformation campaign propagated by some diaspora Bangagya activists targeting Arakan and its people, the reality on the ground reflects a picture of social harmony.

Social harmony refers to the peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, good relations, equality, understanding, and cooperation among people within a society. In the Arakan region, various ethnic groups live together in harmony and peace.

This is most evident in settings where diverse groups collaborate, such as markets, schools, clinics, sports competitions, and other communal activities.

When discussing ethnic and social harmony in the Arakan region, some individuals far from the ground reality may question the situation, pointing to conflicts between the Rakhine and Muslim communities. However, on the ground, it is clear that all ethnic groups in the Arakan region coexist peacefully and harmoniously.

The images featured here capture scenes from a small market in the Arakan region, reflecting this spirit of ethnic harmony. Such images of unity, markets, and communal gatherings are not limited to one location but can be found throughout the Arakan region under the ULA/AA-controlled areas.
