In Mindat Township, southern Chin State, a total of 440 airstrikes occurred over a period of more than two months, from April 11 to June 22, the Chin Human Rights Organization (CHRO) released yesterday on June 22.

According to CHRO's statement, the terrorist Myanmar military launched continuous aerial attacks on Mindat Town and its surrounding areas during that period, with the highest number of bombings in a single day reaching around 91 times.

In addition, it is stated that approximately 45 percent of the total airstrikes took place within a four-day period, during which 168 operational-style airstrikes were conducted.

The CHRO noted that Y-12 type aircraft were primarily utilized in most of the airstrikes, resulting in the damage and destruction of civilian structures.

Since mid-May, military tensions have escalated in Mindat and Kanpetlet areas, and clashes have been ongoing between the military and Chin joint forces.

The CHRO expressed concerns over the continued execution of airstrikes targeting deserted towns, villages, and civilian buildings.

Currently, local residents from around 25 villages—including areas in southern Chin State and Saw Township in the southern Yaw region—are fleeing the conflict. Emergency humanitarian assistance is urgently needed for thousands of internally displaced persons (IDPs), including children and the elderly.
