It has been learned that six Rakhine individuals were arrested by the Bangladesh military in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, allegedly due to their association with the Arakan Army (AA). On September 22, in Myin Chaung village, Bandarban (Rardaw) District, Chittagong Hill Tracts, six local Rakhine individuals were detained by the Bangladesh military while hunting in the forest.
The Bangladesh military claimed that these six Rakhine individuals were members of the Arakan Army (AA) and were apprehended along with weapons and ammunition. However, the seized items reportedly included only one air rifle, three knives, one flashlight, and two slingshots, which are said to be equipment used for hunting.

The Bangladesh military has handed over all six individuals to the police for further action. The arrests were made during a security operation in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, with the Bangladesh military stating that there has been an intrusion by individuals carrying illegal weapons.
The six detained Rakhine individuals were wearing civilian clothing and were reportedly ordinary civilians who had gone out to hunt, according to the Rakhine community in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The community alleges that the Bangladesh military falsely accused these civilians of being AA members and arrested them unjustly.
