Seizure of Illicit Drugs and Related Funds in Brotherhood Alliance Administered Territory

On October 7, 2026, illicit drugs along with related currency were seized in a territory administered by the Brotherhood Alliance.

A member of the alliance forces told the Mine Yu News Agency that the initial discovery was made at the Kyin San Kyawt intersection, where alliance personnel issuing helmet-use warnings to motorcyclists inspected a motorcycle ridden by a youth in his twenties and discovered a quantity of WY tablets.

Based on this discovery, a follow-up investigation was conducted, leading to the search of a house belonging to a man in his seventies residing in Ho Naung Village. The search yielded illicit drugs and over 12.8 million MMK in related currency.

The seized drugs include 28 grams of heroin, 2,560 tablets stamped with the '881' brand, and drug-related paraphernalia, with an estimated total market value of around 5 million MMK.
