Fascist Terrorist Junta Commits Severe War Crimes Through Repeated Fighter Jet Bombardments on IDP Camps
News ၊ October 6, 2026

The Arakan Army (AA) issued a statement yesterday, October 5, declaring that the fascist terrorist military junta is committing severe and continuous war crimes through repeated airstrikes on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps using groups of fighter jets.
The statement noted that on October 5, the terrorist military launched a relentless aerial attack lasting nearly half an hour using fighter jet formations. They dropped cluster bombs and 300-pound bombs on the IDP camp in Pan Nilar Village, the Say Tana Arakha Public Benefit Clinic located inside the camp, and Aung Phyu Pyin Village in Ponnagyun Township.
During this terrorist bombing raid, the Say Tana Arakha Public Benefit Temporary Clinic at the Pan Nilar IDP camp was destroyed. Ma Khine Thazin Soe (18), a student nurse intern at the clinic, sustained severe injuries and passed away while receiving medical treatment.
Simultaneously, during the airstrike, Daw Hla May Thein (54), a displaced person from Ponnagyun taking refuge in Aung Phyu Pyin Village, suffered fatal bomb shrapnel wounds to the head and died instantly at the scene.
According to the statement, another displaced civilian, U Nyi Chay (63), sustained injuries to his chest and legs during the attack.
Previously, on October 4, the terrorist military also deployed two fighter jets to bomb the Byarla IDP camp, located between Thayet Cho and Yoe Ngu villages in Ponnagyun Township, Arakha State, killing six innocent displaced civilians and injuring 10 others. Among the injured, five are reported to be in critical condition.
In addition, the statement highlighted that shelters housing displaced families, personal belongings, and numerous motorcycles and sidecars were destroyed by fire.
The AA urged the public to remain vigilant against air raids at all times and seconds, warning that the terrorist military is launching increasingly frequent aerial attacks with an unchecked, reckless mentality worse than rabid dogs, targeting innocent civilians, monks, pregnant women, and children without discrimination of race or religion.
