Revolutionary Forces Attack Military Mi-17 Aircraft

The Magway PDF announced that revolutionary joint forces shot at and attacked a Mi-17 transport helicopter belonging to the military commission's troops, which was landing in a Pyu Saw Htee-based village in Myaing Township, Pakokku District, Magway Region.

It is learnt that yesterday, June 23, while a Mi-17 aircraft attempted to land in Twin Ma Pyu Saw Htee village, Myaing Township, local allied joint forces massed and launched an offensive strike, firing upon it.

According to the statement, this operation was jointly executed by revolutionary forces including the Magway PDF, Magway Federal Unit military columns, the BPLA, the ABSDF, KG group, Pauk Township and Myaing Township PDF (PaKaFa) groups, Pakokku District Battalions (2/6/7/12/14/15/17/18), Regional PDF Military Column (4), and local allied brotherly forces.

The Magway PDF has not yet released further detailed information regarding the extent of damage to the Mi-17 transport aircraft or casualties resulting from the attack.

The military commission's troops have also not released any news or statements concerning this incident.
