More than 1,600 shade trees were planted under the leadership of the ULA/AA to promote environmental conservation, greenery, and shade in Mrauk-U District, Arakan.
The tree-planting event was held on August 7 at a location in Mrauk-U Town.
Led by the ULA/AA, the activity was jointly carried out by members of Metta Clinic, Mrauk-U Youth Force, Party Youth Force, Humanitarian and Development Coordination Office (HDCO), and local youth organizations.
The initiative aims to conserve the environment, green the local region, and enhance its natural beauty, with local youth actively participating in planting the saplings.
Beyond planting, organizers emphasized the necessity of ongoing care including watering, weeding, and essential maintenance to ensure the long-term survival and growth of the trees.
Special emphasis will be placed on post-planting maintenance to ensure the trees thrive over the long term.
Furthermore, similar tree-planting initiatives are planned for expansion throughout the current rainy season.
Expanding local tree-planting efforts contributes significantly to environmental conservation while creating shaded, green environments for the public.
