One Child Killed and Four Injured in Junta Airstrike on Kyaintali Twon of Gwa Township

An initial report by Arakan Princess Media on the junta’s jet-fighter bombing of Kyaintali that took place after 1 a.m. on November 21 stated that three people had been injured. However, after further investigation, it has been confirmed that one child was killed and four others were wounded in the attack.
The deceased child has been identified as Maung Chan Pone Thet (7 years old), son of U Ngwe Chan Kyaw from Ward No. 1, Kyaintali. The four injured persons are:
U Myat Thu Soe (30 years old)
U Ngwe Chan Kyaw (40 years old)
Daw Myat Myat Moe (65 years old)
One person whose name is not yet known
A local resident said the junta’s jet fighter dropped two bombs on Ward No. 1, Kyaintali, at around 1:15 a.m. on November 21. One bomb exploded between the houses of U Myat Thu Soe and U Ngwe Chan Kyaw on Bo Ba Htin Road, and the second exploded behind U Myat Thu Soe’s house.

Due to the blasts, seven-year-old Maung Chan Pone Thet sustained severe injuries and died on the way to hospital while being transported for emergency treatment.
The injured victims suffered shrapnel wounds:
U Ngwe Chan Kyaw: left chest and abdomen
U Myat Thu Soe: left arm and ear
Daw Myat Myat Moe and the unidentified person also sustained shrapnel injuries
All are receiving emergency medical treatment.
In addition, four houses were damaged or destroyed in the bombing.
