Myanmar Military Commission Bombs Three Villages in Ponnagyun Township, Arakan

Sources report that the Myanmar military commission carried out airstrikes on three villages in Ponnagyun Township, Arakan State, dropping six 300-pound bombs on the evening of December 22.


The villages hit by the bombing were Sin Inn Gyi Village, Kwan Taung Village, and Khamaung Taw Village, according to reports.


Some houses in the affected villages were damaged. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether local residents inside the villages were injured.


Myanmar military commission dropped two 300-pound bombs on Sin Inn Gyi Village at around 5:40 p.m., two more 300-pound bombs on Kwan Taung Village at around 6:20 p.m., and another two 300-pound bombs on Khamaung Taw Village at around 7:20 p.m.


As a result of the aerial bombardment, the houses of U Khin Maung Nu and U Maung Kyaw Win in Kwan Taung Village were damaged and destroyed, sources said.
