The Myanmar military junta carried out an aerial bombing on a location used for internet access near Pakwut Seik Village in Ponnagyun Township, Arakan State, according to local sources.
The attack occurred in the early hours of January 27, when junta air force jet fighters dropped three 300-pound bombs on the area surrounding Pakwut Seik Village, where a Starlink internet service point was operating.
A military source said the first bomb was dropped at approximately 1:27 a.m., followed by a second at 1:31 a.m. and a third at 1:37 a.m., bringing the total number of bombs dropped to three. The bombs were believed to be 300-pound aerial munitions.

A resident of Pakwut Seik Village told AB News that there were no casualties, as no civilians were using the internet at the time of the attack.
“There were no people at the site when the bombs were dropped, so there were no injuries or deaths. We were fortunate in that sense,” the resident said. “However, people living nearby were badly shaken. Some residents have relocated to other places out of fear that the area could be bombed again.”
The bombed location was reportedly one of the sites officially authorized by the Arakan Army (AA) to provide internet access for local residents to maintain communication.
In recent days, the military junta has intensified airstrikes on civilian-populated areas, leading to a rising number of civilian casualties across the region.
According to figures compiled by AB News, at least 62 civilians—including family members of detainees—have been killed by junta airstrikes so far in January alone.
