Local sources report that four displaced persons from Rakhine State were arrested by the terrorist military commission on May 8 in Nga Yoke Kaung Town, Nga Pu Daw Township, Pathein District, Ayeyarwady Region.

The detainees consist of three men and one woman. It is reported that the military council personnel separated the three men from the group, claiming they were being taken to a different location for "interrogation."

These individuals are internally displaced persons (IDPs) who fled Gwa Township in Arakan State to escape the military council's airstrikes.

They were apprehended near the Chaungwa Bridge in Nga Yoke Kaung, an area bordering Arakan.

Local residents state that the military comission has recently increased its troop presence in Nga Yoke Kaung and is conducting intensive patrols using both naval and infantry forces along the regional border.
