A monastery in Kyaukphyu Township was reduced to ashes, and a high school along with several homes sustained damage, after the Myanmar military commission carried out artillery and suicide-drone attacks on Sinboke Rwarma Village and Kyun Gyi Village on November 22, according to local residents.

At around 11:40 p.m., an artillery vessel belonging to the military commission reportedly fired seven consecutive shells directly at the monastery in Sinboke Rwarma Village, located in the Minyat Tract of Kyaukphyu Township.

Residents told Arakan Princess Media that the blasts ignited a fire that consumed the entire monastery, while two nearby houses were also damaged by shrapnel.

At approximately 11:50 p.m., a military suicide drone conducted a second strike on the monastery, destroying what remained of the structure.

In addition, at 11:55 p.m., another suicide drone deployed by the military commission dropped bombs on the Basic Education High School in Kyun Gyi Village, part of the Sinboke tract, causing the school’s roof and walls to collapse.

No civilian casualties were reported during the attacks, according to local sources.
