Rescue and relief teams from the United League of Arakan / Arakan Army (ULA/AA) are continuously carrying out emergency evacuations, relocating residents, and providing food supplies and healthcare services to local communities facing severe flooding across the Arakan.
Due to torrential monsoon rains throughout July, several townships in the Arakan region are experiencing widespread flooding. Local residents are currently grappling with submerged homes, transportation breakdowns, food shortages, and health-related challenges.
On July 11, rescue teams evacuated residents from flood-affected villages in Ponnagyun Township to safer areas and provided them with essential relief supplies.
Additionally, on July 9 and 10, ULA/AA rescue and relief teams safely relocated flood victims and provided emergency aid in Kyauktaw and Mrauk-U townships.
Similar rescue and relief operations were carried out on July 9 to assist local residents facing hardships caused by floods in Minbya Township and the Mrauk-U District.
At present, rainfall has begun to decrease in Mrauk-U, Kyauktaw, and Minbya, and river water levels are steadily receding. As a result, the flood situation has stabilized with no immediate threats of further rising waters.
The ULA/AA remains actively and consistently engaged in rescue and relief operations across the Arakan region to support local residents who are in urgent need of assistance due to the floods.
