Two houses were destroyed by fire following an aerial attack carried out by the Military Junta in Kyaukkale Village, Kyaukphyu Township, according to local sources.

The airstrike took place at around 12:38 p.m. on January 19, when the Military Junta deployed two drones, dropping one bomb inside Kyaukkale Village and another near the coastline, a nearby resident told AB News.

“Recently, bombs have been dropped using both drones and aircraft, and naval vessels have also been firing heavy artillery. People are no longer able to stay in the village. There is no sense of safety, either physically or mentally. Today, another drone attack caused two houses to be burned down,” the resident said.

The two homes destroyed in the fire reportedly belonged to Daw Khin Oo Phyu and U Nga/Chat Gyi, residents of Kyaukkale Village.

Similarly, on January 18, airstrikes and heavy artillery fire from Military Junta naval vessels targeted Kyaukkale Village, resulting in the immediate deaths of two women who were sheltering in the village after fleeing fighting elsewhere.

Earlier, on the night of January 14, at around 10 p.m., heavy artillery fired from a Military Junta naval vessel struck a farm hut in a paddy field near Thaphan Chaung Village, Kyaukphyu Township. A husband and wife who were temporarily sheltering there were killed on the spot, according to reports.
