In Mrauk-U District, under the control of the Arakan Army (AA), members of the Department of Law Enforcement and Public Security (DLEPS) unit seized several stolen motorcycles and returned them to their rightful owners on November 9, according to local residents.

A total of ten stolen motorcycles recovered from thieves were inspected by the DLEPS troops and subsequently handed over to their owners. A formal handover ceremony was held to return the recovered motorcycles to the owners, sources said.

The stolen motorcycles were originally from Mrauk-U, Kyauktaw, and Minbya townships, and only six owners were able to attend the ceremony to reclaim their vehicles.

The remaining four motorcycles are still being held, and DLEPS officers from Mrauk-U District have invited the owners to come forward with proof of ownership to retrieve them.
