The Islamic extremist militant group RSO launched an armed attack on the home of Nabi Hossain, leader of the rival militant group ARA, inside a UN-recognized refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
Local news sources reported that two underage children were killed and a woman was injured in the armed attack.
The attack occurred yesterday, August 27, shortly after 4:00 PM near the Camp 8 East Camp-in-Charge (CIC) office in Balukhali, Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar District.
Refugees and local residents in Cox's Bazar District face forced abductions, extortion, and violent shootings by armed terrorist groups within the refugee camps. As a result, they have urged the Bangladesh government to swiftly crack down on these terrorist groups and criminal gangs, according to a report by In Territory News (ITN).
