Local Community Leaders Reject Fortify Rights Report on Arakan Army

On October 22, Fortify Rights, an external organization, released a report concerning the Arakan Army (AA). The headline of the report claims: "Myanmar: Arakan Army Subjecting Ethnic Minorities into Forced Labor."

Most of the allegations in the report contradict on-the-ground realities and rely on baseless statements. To examine and verify these claims, interviews were conducted by the GAN team with local leaders from various ethnic and religious communities in the region.
