The Lay Waddy - Thandwe Social Rescue Association provided essential emergency healthcare and free medical treatment to 500 war-affected people in Thandwe Township, Arakan State.
According to a statement issued by the organization on October 19, free medical care was provided over four days to a total of 500 displaced civilians: 68 on the first day, 165 on the second day, 130 on the third day, and 137 on the fourth day.
Currently, the Lay Waddy - Thandwe Social Rescue Association reports running low on remaining medicine supplies required to continue providing free treatments.
It is also noted that the medicines used to treat the war-affected civilians were provided free of charge through donations from local and international donors and organizations.
In addition to facing livelihood hardships, war-affected civilians in Thandwe Township who fall ill and need treatment are unable to purchase necessary medicines or receive healthcare due to financial difficulties.
