Today, around 2:00 PM or slightly after on February 24, the terrorist military council's jet fighter dropped two 300-pound bombs on Yoe Ngu village in Ponnagyun Township from the air, according to received information.
The terrorist jet fighter targeted the area near the market and the tower in Yoe Ngu village, Ponnagyun Township, causing explosions. As a result, at least 17 innocent civilians, including children who were displaced by the war and taking shelter in the village, were killed, according to ground news sources.
In addition, more than 30 people, including children, have been injured, with many sustaining severe wounds.
“We have only recovered this many bodies so far. There are still other bodies that haven’t been recovered yet, and the death toll is high. Since it was dropped directly in the center of the village, what we’ve seen is completely heartbreaking,” said one local rescue worker.

During the airstrike on Yoe Ngu village, bomb fragments and fires caused severe burns to bodies, and charred corpses have been found. Search and recovery efforts are still ongoing.
Yoe Ngu village is a location where many innocent civilians and war-displaced people are taking refuge.
Previously, on Union Day, February 12, the terrorist military council carried out airstrikes on the old Weitharli Hotel in the Alay market ward of Mrauk U town, where displaced people were staying. At around 9:14 PM, one strike occurred, followed by another at around 9:20 PM, with a jet fighter dropping two 500-pound bombs each time.
The terrorist military council troops are continuously carrying out inhumane and barbaric airstrikes on weak local civilians who have no involvement in military affairs, using cruel and cunning tactics.
Local people are demanding that the international community take strict action against the terrorist Myanmar military's airstrikes and acts of terrorism, which are violating the future of children, the lives of the elderly, and the right to life of innocent civilians.
