In Arakan, Number of Persons Detained by the Military Commission Reached 39 in May

It is reported that a total of 39 local residents were unjustly detained by the fascist, terrorist military council in Arakan during the past month of May.


Among those detained, eight are fishermen from Myebon Township, while the remaining 31 individuals are from Sittwe Township. Out of the 39 people arrested by the terrorist military council in May, 34 are men and four are women.


One of the detained men died right in front of the military column due to torture inflicted during his arrest by the terrorist military council.


Additionally, during the previous month of April, the terrorist military council forces also detained a total of 35 civilians, including 26 local residents from Sittwe Township and nine fishermen from Rathedaung Township.
