Brotherhood Alliance Arrests Three Drug Dealers, Including Two Women, in Mong Yu (105-Mile)

In Mong Yu (105-Mile), located in Muse Township, Northern Shan State—an area administered by the Brotherhood Alliance two women and one man involved in drug trafficking were arrested yesterday.

Following tip-offs regarding drug dealing, Brotherhood Alliance administrative authorities raided the home of U Aike and his wife, Ms. Phyo (aliases), residents of Ward 4 in Mong Yu (105-Mile), seizing 66 WY/Yaba meth tablets stamped with the "881" logo, according to officials.

Further interrogation of the detainees led authorities to raid the residence of 66-year-old Daw Yang Shwe (alias) in the Chinatown section of Mant Maw Village. Officials seized an additional 42 packages containing 8,400 "881"-stamped Yaba tablets, 4 packages containing 800 "WY"-stamped Yaba tablets, and 51 packets of Kha-Khu (opium/heroin derivate paste).

Legal action will be taken against the suspects under illegal drug trafficking and abuse laws.

Earlier on International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, the Brotherhood Alliance administrative body publicly incinerated drugs seized throughout 2025 including heroin, Yaba, and Kha-Khu valued at nearly 20 million MMK (200 lakh kyats) in front of local residents.
