Bangladesh Coast Guard Seizes Fertilizer and Cement Bags Destined for Arakan

The Bangladesh Coast Guard has seized a boat carrying fertilizer and cement bags intended for transport to Arakan inside Bangladeshi territorial waters.
The Coast Guard conducted the raid and seizure in the channel near Kutubdia, Cox's Bazar District, Bangladesh.
According to the Bangladesh Coast Guard, the raid yielded 250 bags of cement and 60 bags of fertilizer, valued at an estimated 197,500 Taka, which were being transported toward Arakan.
Although the boat and cargo were confiscated, the traders managed to escape.
The seized cement, fertilizer, and boat have reportedly been handed over to the Kutubdia Police Station.
