In townships across the Arakan region, the Arakkha People's Revolutionary Government is conducting strict inspections of traffic and road rules to ensure road safety and reduce traffic accidents, according to sources. These efforts include incorporating awareness programs on traffic and road discipline.

Recently, in urban areas, Department of Law Enforcement and Public Security (DLEPS) teams have been temporarily detaining motorcyclists who ride without helmets, carry more than the allowed number of passengers (e.g., more than two people), and other violators. They are required to answer traffic and road rule-related questions on paper. Those unable to answer are made to read traffic and road discipline awareness booklets, with explanations provided, according to local residents.

Additionally, in some towns in the Arakan region, those who fail to comply with the traffic and road rules issued by the Arakkha People's Revolutionary Government face fines, or under Section 87 of the Road Safety Law, imprisonment or a fine of 30,000 kyats each, imposed through the relevant courts.

Currently, the Arakkha People's Revolutionary Government has issued regulations on traffic and road rules that vehicle drivers and vehicles in the region must follow, including requirements to equip vehicles fully with necessary features as per standards.

To reduce fatalities and injuries among local people due to traffic accidents in the Arakan region, the Arakkha People's Revolutionary Government is consistently carrying out awareness campaigns on traffic and road discipline. It urges local residents to cooperate by strictly adhering to the rules to minimize road risks.
