In Rakhine State, Maungdaw Township, Ngway Taung village, a local male cattle herder was abducted and killed by the terrorist insurgent Muslim armed group, resulting in one death.
The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old U Shwe Thein (aka U Asoe Maung).
According to a villager who spoke to AB News, the victim was abducted and killed by the terrorist insurgent Muslim armed group while herding cattle around 10:30 a.m. on November 7, near the northeastern corner of Ngway Taung village at the foot of Mayu Mountain.
"He went out to herd the cattle after lunch yesterday. When he didn't return by evening, villagers from nearby areas joined together to search for him, but we couldn't find him. This morning, when we searched again, we found his body," the villager said.
The body was discovered buried around 9 a.m. today near Gyat Creek at the foot of Mayu Mountain, northeast of Ngway Taung village.
"We found him buried this morning. About one thousand feet of soil had been dug near the foot of Mayu Mountain, and he was buried there. Near the body, we also found ropes, bloodstains, and cigarette butts," the villager added.

On October 24, at around 7 a.m., six villagers from Kin Chaung village in southern Maungdaw Township, who were herding cattle near the Mayu Mountain range, were abducted by the terrorist ARSA group.
During that incident, one person escaped and, with the help of village militia members, searched for the others. Two elderly men were later found en route, according to villagers.
Additionally, on October 22, a cargo truck and a motorcycle traveling from Kyauk Pandu village in Rathedaung Township toward Seti Pyin village were ambushed by ARSA members, killing two local women and injuring three others, including a 3-year-old child.
Similarly, on October 11, three motorcycle delivery drivers carrying cosmetics from Nam Tha Taung village were ambushed by the terrorist ARSA group, resulting in the death of one male driver.

On October 5, three villagers from Aung Thaya village returning from shopping in Taung Pyo were attacked with a mine explosion by ARSA between Lip Pa Khwe and Thaya Kone villages, injuring one local civilian.
Due to such abductions, killings, and ambushes carried out by the terrorist insurgent Muslim armed groups, local people are facing constant threats to their lives and property.
The Maungdaw District Muslim Affairs Council has strongly condemned the deliberate abductions, torture, and killings of innocent civilians by the terrorist insurgent groups ARSA and RSO, as well as the actions of foreign organizations like Fortify Rights that "fan the flames."
The Muslim Affairs Council stated that while peace and stability are being achieved in the region, the frequent abductions, torture, and killings of innocent people by ARSA and RSO groups pose a threat to the rule of law.
