It has been reported that rice rations were provided, led by the Maungdaw Township Party Committee of the United League of Arakan (ULA), to Mro ethnic groups who have relocated from the northern border area of Maungdaw Township due to the threats posed by Islamic extremist Muslim terrorist armed groups.
These Mro ethnic groups are reported to be over 100 households who moved from Done Nyo village along the Arakan-Bengal border in northern Maungdaw Township.
They are currently taking shelter in the villages of Theiktonenar Kyasone, Khone Taing, Bawng, Lay Myo Kay Di, Thupanaka, and Nanrakaing. Party officials, along with township DLEPS, HDCO, health personnel, staff, and administrative teams, collaboratively provided rice rations, mosquito nets, and healthcare services to these Mro households, according to officials from the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government.

Islamic extremist terrorist armed groups have frequently committed violent acts such as threatening to extort rice, kidnapping, and carrying out killings in ethnic villages in northern Maungdaw, including Done Nyo, Kyauk Lone, and Pya Yay.
Previously, in September 2025, Muslim terrorist armed insurgents captured and killed over ten villagers from Thamin Thar and Done Nyo villages who had gone to gather firewood along the border, committing acts of violence.
Consequently, the Mro ethnic groups from the northern Maungdaw border region have had to relocate and settle in surrounding areas where many other Mro people live. It is also reported that Muslim residents from other Muslim villages, such as Kyauk Chaung and Hpet Leit Pyin, fearing the violent acts of these terrorist Muslim armed groups, have also moved to safer locations.
The Arakan People's Revolutionary Government is providing rice rations, healthcare services, and expanding security forces in the border areas for the ethnic local residents displaced by the threats of these Islamic extremist insurgents.
