The Arakan People's Revolutionary Government issued a directive on April 8, outlining six regulations that the people of Arakan must strictly adhere to during the upcoming Thingyan Water Festival.

The six regulations are as follows:

  1. No High-Capacity Vehicle Parades: Traveling around towns or playing water in vehicles carrying a large number of passengers is prohibited.

  2. No Inter-City/Village Travel for Water Play: Traveling from one town to another or one village to another in vehicles for the purpose of dancing, parading, or playing water is prohibited.

  3. No Large Water Pavilions: Setting up large Thingyan pavilions (Pandals) that cause mass gatherings for water play is prohibited.

  4. No Public Concerts/Shows: Organizing entertainment shows or concerts that result in large crowds is prohibited.

  5. Restricted Religious Gatherings: Observing the Sabbath, taking precepts, or making donations at monasteries must not be conducted in large, crowded gatherings.

  6. Respect for Public Security and Environment: To respect public security, loud music from sound boxes and any actions or noises that disturb the social environment and community are prohibited.

Departmental officials leading public services are themselves required to follow these regulations without fail.

Relevant organizations and public service departments are instructed to explain these rules to the Arakan people reasonably, make formal requests for cooperation, and ensure the regulations are strictly followed with patience and tolerance, considering all surrounding circumstances.

Furthermore, the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government has emphasized that relevant officials must not only follow these rules themselves but also monitor and supervise the public's compliance.

The Arakan People's Revolutionary Government remains consistently dedicated to public welfare and activities that prevent danger to all residents living within the Arakan region.
