The Arakan Army (AA) has urged MNDAA and TNLA, two of the three Northern Brotherhood allies currently engaged in armed conflict, to cease fire and hold discussions, according to TNLA spokesperson Lwe Yay Oo, who spoke to media outlets.
"MNDAA, TNLA, and AA are the three brotherhood allies. With the intense fighting occurring between the two, the AA side, through their central leadership as much as possible, has urged for negotiations and dialogue," Lwe Yay Oo stated in an interview with People's Spring media.
It is understood that this urging comes because the ongoing fighting between MNDAA and TNLA has significant implications for the entire Spring Revolution movement.
The clashes between MNDAA and TNLA began on March 14 in Kutkai Town, northern Shan State. After MNDAA launched an offensive, captured, and took control of Kutkai Town, they continued attacking towards Namkham on March 16, and the military situation remains tense.
MNDAA, TNLA, and the Arakan Army (AA) have been military allies cooperating for nearly a decade.

Observers note that the success of Operation 1027 by the three brotherhood allies—TNLA, MNDAA, and AA—stemmed from their strong alliance and the unity among oppressed peoples, which every force in the Spring Revolution respects and emulates. The Spring Revolution coalition forces also take pride in having had the opportunity to participate and fight alongside the three brotherhood allies in Operation 1027 to dismantle the military dictatorship.
The current armed conflict between the two groups not only harms the two organizations involved but also has widespread repercussions for the entire ongoing revolution. Therefore, the Spring Revolution Alliance (SRA) has appealed and urged that such partner conflicts, which can arise, should not be resolved through armed means. Instead, they call for finding solutions through meetings and dialogue, considering the interests of the entire Union that the people trust and hope for.
