In Paletwa District, Paletwa Township, the foot suspension bridge, approximately 350 feet long, connecting the upper and lower parts of Meelakwa village, has been repaired and constructed by the Humanitarian Aid and Development Coordination Office (HDCO) of the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government, according to investigations.
This bridge has long served as the main foot suspension bridge connecting the upper and lower villages of Meelakwa village. Due to its current state of severe damage, the administrator of the Meelakwa group went to the HDCO office to present the request, according to a resident of Meelakwa village.

"This bridge is the primary means of travel connecting our upper and lower villages in this group, making daily movement convenient. It had become quite damaged, so the administrator went to the HDCO office to request repairs. Now, both people and motorcycles can cross it," said one villager.
Currently, the nearly destroyed foot suspension bridge, measuring 350 feet in length, was repaired starting on February 18 by HDCO to facilitate local residents' travel and was fully completed on February 22.
HDCO reportedly bore the full cost of 5,638,000 kyats (approximately 5.638 million kyats) for repairing and constructing the entire bridge.
In addition, the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government is carrying out various people-oriented activities, including administration, justice, rule of law, healthcare, education, and regional development and progress.
