8 Indigenous Mro Residents Are Attacked by Some Muslim Terrorists Near Arakan-Bangladesh Border Mile Post 55

According to ground reports, some Muslim terrorists launched a group attack on indigenous Mro residents living near mile post 55 on the Arakan-Bangladesh border, on the Bangladesh side, around 10 a.m. on the morning of January 17 (yesterday).


The victims of the attack are indigenous Mro residents living near mile post 55 on the Arakan-Bangladesh border in Alikadam township, Bandarban district, Bangladesh.


Those who sustained injuries from the attack are:

  • Dan Yan (52 years old)

  • A Mo (50 years old)

  • Prey Kei Kyaw (27 years old)

  • Aung Saung (30 years old)

  • Kauk Ngun (50 years old)

  • Nga We (27 years old)

  • Lan Chin (30 years old)

  • Min Ro (40 years old)


The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on January 17, when indigenous Mro residents went to stop some Muslims who were illegally stealing crops from their fruit orchards, and they were assaulted with knives and clubs.


According to sources, armed Muslim terrorists and some local Muslim terrorists joined forces to carry out the group attack on the Mro indigenous people.

Currently, the 8 severely injured indigenous Mro residents are receiving medical treatment at Alikadam township hospital.


Indigenous residents living in the Chittagong mountain region of Bangladesh frequently face oppression and abuses from Muslim terrorist armed groups and some local Muslims, and at present, indigenous residents in the mountain areas are facing security threats.
