Military Junta Bombs Kyeintali and Yay Kyaw Village in Gwa Township; 6 Civilians Injured

Sources report that 6 civilians were injured after the Military Commission Air Force used a jet fighter to bomb Kyeintali Town and Yay Kyaw village in Gwa Township, Arakan.


Yesterday, June 26, at around 3:00 PM, a jet fighter belonging to the terrorist military dropped one 500-pound bomb on the monastery and one 300-pound bomb on the school in Yay Kyaw village.


At approximately 3:10 PM, the jet fighter also carried out an attack by dropping two 500-pound bombs on Ward No. 2 of Kyeintali Town.


The injured victims are identified as Maung Htet Myat Thu (10), U San Min (35), U Phoe Ni (75), Ma Su Myat Mon (13), and U Wai Ya Min (45) from Yay Kyaw village, and Ma Saung Hay Marn Khin (18) from Ward No. 2 of Kyeintali Town.


Sources state that the airstrike caused damage to the monastery, the school, and several civilian houses within the village. The 6 injured civilians are currently receiving emergency medical treatment at nearby healthcare facilities.


Previously, on June 20 and 23, aerial bombings targeting Kanthawt Taung village and Ward No. 2 of Kyeintali Town in Gwa Township had also left a total of 6 civilians injured.
