On March 29, 2026, at approximately 4:05 PM, the fascist terrorist military commission—a defeated junta—launched an aerial attack on Kyaung Chaung Village in Paletwa Township. The assault was carried out using two jet fighters, conducting three bombing runs and two rocket attacks.

There were no armed clashes in the vicinity of the village at the time of the attack. The bombardment was an act of cowardice, targeting a civilian area without any military justification.

As a result of the fascist terrorist military commission's airstrike, a total of seven (7) innocent civilians from Kyaung Chaung Village were killed, including four (4) children under the age of 16.

Additionally, four (4) individuals were injured, among them two (2) children. Multiple residential homes were also destroyed or damaged by fire. The Arakan Army expresses its deepest condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in this attack.

Pattern of War Crimes

The fascist terrorist military commission, suffering defeats across the country, continues to escalate its brutal tactics. Whenever it faces significant losses in confrontations with the Arakan Army, it deliberately targets civilian communities—areas with no military significance—with cowardly airstrikes.

These acts constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, perpetrated with impunity by a regime desperate to compensate for its battlefield failures.

The Arakan People's Revolutionary Government is continuing to provide humanitarian assistance to the residents of Kaung Chaung Village affected by the attack, including those killed and injured.
