Retired Bishop Barnabas Thawng Wei of the Sittwe Diocese Passes Away in Christ; ULA/AA Sends Message of Condolences

The United League of Arakan / Arakan Army (ULA/AA), the revolutionary government of Arakan, sent a message of condolences yesterday, January 12, expressing sorrow over the passing of Retired Bishop Barnabas Thawng Wei (also referred to in sources as Bishop Barnabas Thawng Hoih or similar transliterations) of the Anglican Church's Sittwe Diocese, who fell asleep in Christ.
The retired bishop, aged 82 years and with 57 years of service (ordination), passed away peacefully in Christ on January 10 at 9:45 PM.

The condolence message highlights his 57 years of dedicated service to Christian ministry and the faithful, as well as his courageous legacy of promoting faith, peace, and the well-being of the people, which is deeply respected and honored.
