Myanmar Military Continues Airstrikes on Non-Military Areas Across Arakan

The Myanmar military has continued a series of airstrikes on areas across Arakan that are not identified as military targets, carrying out repeated attacks with fighter jets over several consecutive days, according to the AAInfoDesk.
The latest attacks followed an airstrike on the India Market and areas near the Kassapanadi Bridge in Kyauktaw, Arakan, in which 50 civilians were reportedly killed and 57 others injured.
Following the Kyauktaw attack, the military reportedly conducted further airstrikes using groups of fighter jets on non-military areas in Rathedaung, Ponnagyun, Weira Thana (Pauktaw), Kyauktaw, and Thandwe.
On September 30 and October 1, 2026, the Myanmar military reportedly continued conducting repeated air attacks on non-military areas across Arakan.
The attacks reportedly resulted in further civilian casualties and damage to Buddhist monasteries and residential buildings.
