A 4-year-old child and a woman were injured after the terrorist military junta launched an airstrike near Kyaukseik Village in Ponnagyun Township, Arakan(Rakhine) State, yesterday, September 30, at around 9:00 PM.

The injured individuals have been identified as Maung Nay Kyaw Lin, 4 years old, a displaced child from Ponnagyun Town, and Ma Khin Khin Than, 26 years old, a local resident of Kyaukseik Village in Ponnagyun Township.

During the airstrike, 4-year-old Nay Kyaw Lin sustained injuries to his left leg from shattered glass, while Ma Khin Khin Than suffered severe injuries.

Beginning around 9:00 PM on September 30, the terrorist military junta carried out consecutive airstrikes on Ponnagyun Township, using jet fighters one after another.

Furthermore, local sources reported that between 9:00 PM yesterday and midnight, the terrorist military repeatedly launched aerial bombardment attacks across Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, and Weerathani townships.

Inquiries are ongoing regarding the full extent of casualties among innocent civilians during these air raids.

Earlier on September 28, the terrorist Myanmar military junta also launched an airstrike targeting the crowded India Market and Kisapanadi Bridge in Kyauktaw Town, resulting in a mass casualty massacre that killed 50 innocent civilians and injured nearly 60 others.

Since September 4, the terrorist military junta launched an offensive into Ponnagyun Township with over 1,000 troops divided into columns. However, facing repeated military defeats against the Arakan Army (AA), the junta has continuously targeted non-military civilian residential areas with relentless airstrikes and heavy artillery bombardment.
