Military Commission Jet Fighter Strikes Toungup Three Times, Killing 1 Civilian and Injuring Another

According to local reports, a jet fighter from the Military Commission launched airstrikes three times today on Ywa Thit Kay Village, Wet Kyit Village Tract, Toungup Township, Arakan State.

At around 4:00 PM today (September 11), the Military Commission forces carried out three consecutive airstrikes using a jet fighter on Ywa Thit Kay Village, killing one innocent civilian and injuring another.

The airstrikes resulted in the death of 60-year-old local resident U Tin Maung from Ywa Thit Kay Village, while 73-year-old U Min Swe sustained injuries.

A local resident from Toungup Township told, "The military launched airstrikes on the outskirts of the town. One local resident died on the spot, while another suffered minor injuries. In terms of property damage, two houses were hit and a cow was killed."

The injured U Min Swe was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. It was also reported that two houses were damaged and a cow was killed during the bombing.

Additionally, the Military Commission jet fighter reportedly dropped a bomb on a mountain ridge near Taragu Village in Toungup Township.

Yesterday, September 10, a similar incident occurred when Military Commission forces launched airstrikes twice using a jet fighter on Kintali Town, Gwa Township, leaving one civilian dead and another injured.

Facing military setbacks on the ground, the Military Commission forces have been continuously and intentionally targeting civilian-inhabited villages from the air.

With the threat of air and naval attacks from the Military Commission currently escalating, the Arakan Army (AA) has issued a renewed warning urging local populations across the Arakan region to remain on high alert at all times and take necessary precautions against airstrikes.
