In a brutal act, the Military Commission forces tortured and killed four innocent civilians, including three Arakan youths, leaving their bodies discarded on a public road on April 14, according to local witnesses.
The three identified Arakan victims were Maung Oo Kyaw Lin (22), Maung Min Paing Soe (22), and Maung Sein Kyaw Htay (24).
All three were from Tinma Village in Kyauktaw Township and had been working in Hpakant. The fourth victim was an unidentified Naga youth.
Local sources reported that on the afternoon of April 14, the Military Commission soldiers discarded the four bodies near the Shwe Myanmar petrol station at the municipal intersection in Mashikahtaung Ward.
Sources indicate that intense fighting is ongoing in Hpakant Township between the Military Commission and the joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), with the Military Commission suffering significant casualties.
According to an individual who escaped from the Military Commission’s custody, the fascist Military Commission forces frustrated by their losses are arbitrarily arresting, torturing, and killing passersby and youths, specifically targeting Rakhine individuals with tattoos such as "Arakan" or "Rakhine."
In recent days, the Military Commission has continued to forcibly detain youths, including two more Arakan individuals. Local residents report that several others remain missing after being arrested by Military Commission troops.
Due to the Military Commission's inhumane targeting of innocent Rakhine civilians fueled by racial hatred, members of the Arakan revolutionary community are strongly advising the public to exercise extreme caution.
Civilians are urged to avoid Military Commission checkpoints, outposts, and areas where its members are stationed. Individuals with tattoos identifying as "Arakan" or "Rakhine" are specifically warned not to pass through the Military Commission’s inspection points.
