Four Dead, Including One Military POW Captain, in Maungdaw Prisoner of War Camp Bombing

It is learned that four prisoners were killed when the coup military launched an airstrike using two jet fighters and one Y-12 aircraft yesterday (July 2) on a prisoner of war detention camp in Kyein Chaung village, Maungdaw Township, Arakan.
It is reported that between 3:00 PM and just after 3:30 PM yesterday, two jet fighters dropped six 500-pound bombs, and one Y-12 aircraft dropped 27 bombs during the attack.
In the bombing assault, a total of four prisoners of war who were being detained by the Arakan Army consisting of one Captain and three privates died on the spot.
On July 1, the coup military also used a fleet of jet fighters and a Y-12 to drop more than 10 bombs on areas surrounding the Maungdaw town entrance arch, 3-Mile, and NaKhaKha 5.
Furthermore, on June 24, an airstrike was carried out near the former Border Ethnic Youth Development School in Maungdaw town, injuring two women.
