It is learned that the terrorist military junta air force used one jet fighter and one Y-12 aircraft to drop two 500-pound bombs on Kyet Mauk Taung (Muslim) village in Buthidaung Township, Arakan, on July 1.
Due to this attack, an approximately 50-year-old man and two Muslim children sustained injuries, and nearly 10 Muslim homes were found to be damaged and destroyed.
According to local residents, because it was raining heavily at the time of the incident, they did not notice the sound of the aircraft flying.
Following that, two bombs fell and exploded in succession, and due to being struck by bomb shrapnel, two children and one adult sustained injuries.
The individuals who sustained injuries from the bomb shrapnel have been identified as 12-year-old third-grade student Swe Dul Armin, 12-year-old Mar Mat Ar Rawt, and 50-year-old U Armin Hu Saung, all residents of Kyet Mauk Taung village.
Among the injured, Swe Dul Armin sustained severe injuries, including a fractured left femur, after being struck by the bomb shrapnel.
Additionally, Mar Mat Ar Rawt suffered shrapnel wounds to the lower abdomen, and U Armin Hu Saung sustained an injury to his right eyebrow.
The severely injured child was rushed to the nearest medical facility for emergency care and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Nearly 10 Muslim homes in Kyet Mauk Taung village were damaged and destroyed due to the powerful blast waves and shrapnel generated by the bomb explosions.
In particular, the homes belonging to U Ar Yar Tu Lar, U Nur Islam, Daw Harsar Bibi, U Zar Faw, U Shawm Shu Ar Lawm, U Saw Lein, and U Baw Di Ar Lawm reportedly suffered the most damage.
It is also learned that on the morning of June 24, the terrorist military carried out an airstrike on Maungdaw town using a jet fighter to drop two 500-pound bombs, injuring two 12th-grade female students and damaging over 10 Hindu homes.
Similarly, on June 17 at around 3:00 PM, the terrorist military junta launched an airstrike using four jet fighters for about an hour, dropping bombs on public residential areas, a clinic, and temporary markets in Kyauktaw town wards and Lan Ma Daw village. The attack resulted in the deaths of 9 civilians and left 18 others injured.
Under the current circumstances, because the terrorist military is continuously launching airstrikes on villages where innocent civilians reside within Arakan, civilian deaths, injuries, and the destruction and loss of residential buildings continue to occur.
