The Paletwa District Party Committee provided over 20 million MMK in financial aid to Kyaung Chaung Village yesterday, April 19, around 10:00 AM. The village, located in Paletwa District, had been targeted by airstrikes conducted by the terrorist Myanmar military.

On March 29, 2026, at approximately 4:05 PM, the fascist Myanmar military deployed two jet fighters to carry out three bombing runs and two rocket attacks on Kyaung Chaung Village.

Local reports state the attack was a cowardly act, as there were no active battles in the vicinity of the village at the time.

The airstrikes resulted in the deaths of seven innocent civilians, including four children under the age of 16. Additionally, four others, including two children, were wounded, and several homes were destroyed by fire.

In response to the tragedy, the Paletwa District Party Committee provided the following assistance: 2 million MMK each for the families of the seven deceased victims. 700,000 MMK each for the four injured individuals. 3 million MMK for the two houses completely destroyed by fire. 3 million MMK for the three houses that sustained moderate damage.

Kyaung Chaung is a small village with just over 50 households and a population of approximately 200 people.

The Arakkha People's Government has issued an urgent warning to the public as the terrorist Myanmar military has intensified its aerial operations across the Arakkha region.

Recently, the military has been deploying three or more jet fighters along with reconnaissance planes simultaneously to conduct severe and cowardly attacks.

Local authorities are currently using signboards and mobile announcement vehicles to urge residents to remain highly vigilant against the ongoing threat of airstrikes.
