Global Arakan News (GAN) has received disturbing reports that Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel robbed eight cattle belonging to Arakanese traders after illegally crossing into Arakan territory in clear violation of territorial integrity.

The incident took place on November 27, 2025, near Border Pillar No. 50.

While the Arakanese traders were waiting to conduct a scheduled livestock transaction with their Bangladeshi counterparts, five armed BGB members entered Arakan soil and forcibly robbed the traders of eight cattle.

Out of fear for their safety, the traders and nearby locals did not resist but recorded video evidence of the robbery.

This incident highlights the real and recurring behavior of certain BGB personnel on the border, which routinely undermines stability and endangers the security and livelihoods of local communities on both sides.

GAN has not yet confirmed whether the robbery was carried out under official orders from BGB leadership or was an unauthorized act by the personnel involved.
