In the Arakan, the terrorist Myanmar military launched airstrikes using eight jet fighters and two Y-12 aircraft against Thandwe Township and Gwa Township, lasting nearly two hours starting from around 1:30 AM today, August 21.
Locals reported that this morning, while most people were sleeping and resting, the military junta used a fleet of aircraft to drop nearly 100 bombs on Ngapali Beach in Thandwe Township.
Additionally, the terrorist military junta launched an airstrike near an IDP (internally displaced person) camp in Nyaung Chaung Village, Gwa Township, dropping two bombs from a jet fighter, which injured three IDPs and one local resident.
During the air attack, bomb shrapnel injured U Saw Oo, an IDP from Lei Kone Gyi Village in the Ayeyarwady Region, in his right calf and under his right arm; Chan Myae Aung in the tip of his penis; and Daw Ma Than Win, who suffered a torn left calf muscle. U Tin Shwe, approximately 76 years old from Nyaung Chaung Village, also sustained a severe open wound to his right sole.
Furthermore, two civilian homes and one IDP camp were destroyed.
Earlier on August 13, airstrikes by the terrorist Military Commission on Gwa Township and Kyeintali Town killed eight innocent civilians, including young children and entire families, injured several others, and destroyed residential buildings.
Facing military setbacks in ground battles against the Arakan Army (AA), the terrorist Military Commission troops are continuously carrying out air attacks on civilian areas. Consequently, the Arakan Army (AA) has warned the public in the Arakan region to remain constantly vigilant against the danger of air raids.
