On September 12, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, the Military Commission attacked Pannya Pan Khaing Private High School in Tha Yet Ta Pin village, Kyauktaw Township, Arakan State, using a jet fighter to drop two 500-pound bombs.


The bombs struck the school premises, causing a devastating explosion. According to initial reports, the blast killed at least 20 students and injured approximately 20 others. The private high school and at least four nearby residential buildings were damaged or destroyed by the bombing.

Additionally, several students and local residents sustained severe injuries, with some in critical condition. The village, located along the Yangon-Sittwe highway, is home to thousands of households.


On September 10, 2025, the Military Commission also conducted airstrikes on mountainous areas near Zee Chaung Dam in Kyauktaw Township.


Across the country, the Military Commission’s forces, facing defeats in various regions, have been carrying out daily airstrikes targeting civilian areas. These attacks have resulted in continuous casualties and injuries among local residents.
