Arakkha Government Provides Food Assistance to IDPs from 5 Villages in Kyauktaw Township

On September 16, the Arakkha Government provided one month's worth of food supplies to internally displaced persons (IDPs) from five villages in Kyauktaw Township, Mrauk-U District, Arakan.
The food assistance was delivered to 87 individuals from 24 displaced households across the communities of Chin Ma Wan Thaung, Pyin Nya Wa, Kharu Maw Pat, Day Won, and Pi Kaut Wa.
The distribution was led by the IDP Committee of the Arakkha Government, in collaboration with the Humanitarian and Development Coordination Office (HDCO), the party's township office, and the township administration office.
Each household received a one-month supply calculated at two condensed-milk cans of rice per person per day, along with 1 liter of cooking oil and 1 viss (approx. 1.63 kg) of salt per household.
It is reported that this food aid was delivered with the aim of partially relieving the daily livelihood hardships faced by the displaced populations and meeting their basic food requirements.
The IDP Committee of the Arakkha Government is also continuing to distribute essential food supplies and household goods to other IDPs experiencing livelihood difficulties in various townships and villages across the Arakan.
