Arakan State Writers Association Meets Chak Ethnic Literature and Culture Committee to Preserve Chak Literature and Culture

It is reported that the Arakan State Writers Association (Central) held a discussion meeting with the Chak Ethnic Literature and Culture Committee with the aim of promoting and preserving the literature and culture of the Chak ethnic group in the Arakan region.

The meeting took place yesterday afternoon (September 9) at a location in the Arakan region, attended by around 20 officials from both the Arakan State Writers Association and the Chak Ethnic Literature and Culture Committee.

During the meeting, a member of the Chak Ethnic Literature and Culture Committee stated that the objective of meeting with the Arakan State Writers Association (Central) was to uncover and preserve the literature and culture of the Thet people.

Furthermore, the representative noted that the Chak ethnic people have participated in the revolutionary movements of Arakan State from ancient times through to the present day, and emphasized that they will continue to work hand-in-hand with the Arakan State Writers Association (Central) in literary and other various sectors.

The Chairman of the Arakan State Writers Association (Central) expressed that under the current Arakan Government, opportunity has emerged to highlight one's own literature, culture, and history, encouraging the Chak people to bring forward their endangered literature, culture, and historical heritage.

Similarly, he emphasized a strong desire to feature the literature, culture, music, arts, and history of the Chak people in the "Arakan Twe-Chin Journal," which is currently published by the Arakan State Writers Association (Central).
