It is reported that personnel from the Arakan Army's Fire Dragon Military Region collectively assisted and carried out agricultural work for farmers facing difficulties in paddy cultivation at Mong Yu 105-Mile in Muse Township, an administrative area of the Brotherhood Alliance.
For local farmers who are unable to hire farm laborers due to financial constraints and cannot cultivate paddy themselves, personnel from the Fire Dragon Military Region have been collectively helping with paddy cultivation tasks since June 21, and have successfully assisted in cultivating approximately six acres of farmland up to the present time.
A local farmer stated that because the cost of hiring daily wage laborers for agricultural work is high, farmers with financial difficulties are having to borrow money from others to cultivate their paddy.
It is learned that they expressed deep gratitude toward the AA personnel for coming to assist the farmers who cannot afford the expenses at this time.
Within the region, while farmers who are financially secure usually hire daily wage transplanting laborers for paddy cultivation, some farmers facing financial difficulties manage their work by taking turns assisting among family members, relatives, and each other.
According to relevant authorities, farmers within the alliance administrative territory who are facing difficulties with paddy cultivation can contact the Alliance Administrative Committee Office to request assistance during this year's paddy cultivation season.
