It is reported that a combined force of the terrorist junta and Military Intelligence arrested a total of 5 individuals one Maramagyi and four Muslims on June 26 and 27 in Sittwe, a town still under the control of the terrorist Myanmar military.

The arrested individuals are identified as U Ar Bu Chay (32), a Maramagyi ethnic from Thei Chaung (Rakhine) village in Sittwe Township, and U Harsoung (45), Ohn Maw Yar Laung (17), Ju Paing (20), and Jar May from In Barlie (Muslim) village.

It is learned that the joint force of the terrorist junta entered Thei Chaung village and In Barlie village at night on June 26 and 27 to make the arrests of these 5 individuals.

Previously, on June 24, the terrorist military also arrested Ko Yan Naing (38), an ethnic Rakhine from Sat Yone Su Ward who was out catching frogs, and he remains missing with no contact to this day.

Similarly, at around 11:00 PM on April 27, a joint force of police, immigration, and military personnel arrested approximately 70 residents from Bauk Thee Su, Kyaung Tet Lan, Lanmadaw Taung Ward, and Ha Ri village in Sittwe.

The terrorist Myanmar military has been continuously arresting local residents. While some detainees are released after money is extorted, others are sent to the frontlines after being given military training for conscription, which has caused anxiety to rise among locals.
